Description
ADG .416 Rem Mag (Remington Magnum) cartridge brass is a dangerous game safari cartridge that we have started to produce as part of our SAFARI Caliber Lineup. These SAFARI cartridges were generally developed for African or Alaskan big game, dangerous game, and classic safari-type hunts across Africa, Asia, and North America. These cartridges are very applicable to North American big game and dangerous game. The SAFARI caliber lineup includes .338 Win Mag, .375 Ruger, .375 H&H, and .416 Rem Mag. Plains game sized animals are easily harvested at all ranges using our 6mm, 6.5mm, and 7mm Magnum cartridges including 6UM, 6.5 PRC, 7-6.5 PRCW, 7 PRC, 7-300 PRC, 6.5 SAUM, 7 SAUM, and 6.8 Western Calibers.
As with all ADG brass, it is specifically designed not only for consistency, but for durability. One of the ways we accomplished this was adding material to the case in specific areas to strengthen it. With the additional material, our brass is heavier than most other manufacturers brass and therefore will require lower charge weights to achieve the same pressures and velocities due to the reduced volume inside the brass. We recommend using a reputable load data source and working up from their recommended minimum starting loads. Failure to reduce charge weights established using other manufacturers brass may result in higher pressures and velocities while using ADG brass and may result in unsafe pressure levels.
For those who want next-level performance, we would recommend annealing between loadings. Annealing is not required to get ADG brass to perform better than our competitors, but if you are planning on setting world records, becoming a world champion, or stretching the legs on a hunt, absolute consistency is achieved when annealing the case mouth between firings using our ARC Ultimate Annealer!
